- Shawn Andrews captivated audiences as the charming "Leo" on a drug-fueled journey to the bottom opposite Olivia Wilde in award-winning film "Fix," which made it's debut in Park City immediately garnering the attention of media giants Entertainment Weekly and CNN. Andrews has since won Best Actor Awards for his work in the film on the Film Festival circuit before the film found audiences across all platforms globally later that same year. He followed that up with the critically acclaimed "Big Heart City" starring opposite Oscar nominee Seymour Cassel. His richly textured performance has been praised by iconic actor Dennis Hopper, who likens Andrews' portrayal of "Frank Polowski" to the artistry of James Dean in his classic films. He first made his feature film debut as the ultimately cool "Kevin Pickford" in Richard Linklater's indie cult phenomenon "Dazed and Confused."
Andrews has dedicated his career to delivering provocative character-driven work and his soulful sensibility has led him to roles like festival favorite "The Small Hours" opposite Dimon Hounsou, Christopher Meloni and Ron Livingston, and in Matt Dillon's "City of Ghosts."
Andrews studied under Arthur Penn at The Actors Studio in New York. - Shawn Andrews was born on 25 December 1982 in Camden, Arkansas, USA.
